The DiscLight Foxtrot, much like the other lighting artworks from the Roumelight collection, transcends the usual scope of functional luminosity. It is a striking lighting installation that injects a sensual dose of rock-n-roll attitude, invigorating the senses.
Crafted through a masterful interplay of light and form, and conceived from a contemporary interpretation of a vintage object such as the vinyl record, the DiscLight Foxtrot has evolved into an unexpected pendant light. It ingeniously facilitates an intriguing dialogue between past and present while simultaneously elevating lighting to the realm of illuminated art.
A vintage turntable’s needle illuminates the vinyl record, playing fox trot songs. The light is emitted around the perimeter of the vinyl disc and the needlefocusing on the disc and its theme. A distinctive halo of bright light is emitted by the LED strip behind the turntable.
The rejuvenated lighting artwork exudes a fresh spirit that merges into the perception of a brand new design narrative. It showcases its unique elegance, being rather fashionable, and its multi-sensory aesthetics have been highly appreciated by the art world for its powerful and captivating appeal.
